The way I see it
Your mind runs on your body.
I've come to see mental health as partly a hardware problem, and that idea changed how I look after myself.
We spend a lot of time trying to fix the software: the thoughts, the worries, the 3am spirals. But the software runs on the hardware. If your body's running on no sleep, rubbish food and no daylight, your mind hasn't got a chance.
That's why a walk in nature works for me. It slows the stress down, clears my head, and I think better afterwards, in mind and body.
Sometimes you don't need to fix the software. You need to reboot the hardware.
