Your privacy
Short version: there are no sign-up forms on this site. If you message or email me, I use what you send only to reply, sort out walks, or send the Monday check-in if you asked for it. I never sell or share it.

Who I am
ManMyMind is run by Steve, a sole trader based in Worcestershire. For data protection purposes I'm the "controller" of your information. You can contact me about anything on this page at steve@manmymind.co.uk.
What I collect
This website has no forms and doesn't ask you for any details. I only receive information if you choose to contact me:
- By DM on Instagram or TikTok: your username, profile name and whatever you write in the message.
- By email: your email address, name and whatever you write.
- The Monday check-in: if you sign up, your email address and first name, so I can send you the weekly email.
If you join a walk, I may keep a simple list of first names or usernames so I know who to wait for on the day.
Please don't send me sensitive details
The law treats some information as extra sensitive ("special category data"). That includes anything about your physical or mental health (a diagnosis, medication, treatment or what you're going through), as well as your sexuality, religion, ethnicity or criminal record.
I don't ask for any of it, and please don't put it in messages or emails. The same goes for other personal details such as your full name, home address, date of birth or phone number: a first name is all I need. ManMyMind is about talking face to face. If you want to share something, we can talk about it in person.
Getting in touch with ManMyMind doesn't mean you have a mental health condition, and I don't assume or record anything about your health because you messaged me. Plenty of people come along just for the walk and the company.
If you do send me something sensitive anyway, I'll treat it as strictly confidential, use it only to reply to you, never write it down anywhere else, and delete it when it's no longer needed. You can ask me to delete it at any time.
What's said on a walk isn't recorded anywhere. It stays on the walk.
Why I use it
- To reply to your message.
- To send you walk details and the meeting point, if you asked to join a walk.
- To talk to you about workplace talks, if you asked about them.
- To send you the Monday check-in, if you signed up. You can stop at any time by replying "stop".
You started the conversation, so I use your details only to continue it. You can ask me to stop at any time by saying so in a message or email.
I will never sell your details, share them with other organisations for marketing, or add you to a WhatsApp or other group without asking you first.
If I'm worried about your safety
What you share with me stays with me. The only exception: if I genuinely believe someone's life is at immediate risk, I may share the minimum necessary information with the emergency services. The law allows this to protect someone's vital interests.
Where it's kept
Messages stay inside Instagram (owned by Meta) or TikTok, and emails in my ManMyMind email inbox. Those companies have their own privacy policies and may store data outside the UK. This website is hosted by Netlify, which, like any web host, briefly logs technical information such as IP addresses to keep the site running.
How long I keep it
- Walk lists: deleted after each walk.
- The Monday check-in list: until you reply "stop" or ask me to remove you.
- Messages and emails: deleted once they're no longer needed, and at the latest if we haven't been in touch for 12 months. You can ask me to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just email me. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies, and there are no analytics watching what you do. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your device's IP address when the page loads.
Videos: some pages include YouTube videos. Until you press play, you only see a preview picture loaded from YouTube's image server, and no YouTube cookies are set. When you press play, the video loads from YouTube in its "privacy-enhanced" mode, and YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Music: the playlist on the toolkit page uses Spotify's official player. It only loads when you press play; until then, no Spotify content or cookies are loaded. Once it loads, Spotify may set cookies and use similar technologies, and Spotify's own privacy and cookie policies apply.
Age
ManMyMind's walks are for adults aged 18 and over.
